Swing for Change is moving to September 2027.
After careful consideration, we have made the decision to move the inaugural Swing for Change: The Baltimore Community Wellness Classic to September 18, 2027 at Double Rock Park.
Our vision for Swing for Change has always been bigger than simply hosting a softball tournament. We are building a day that brings nonprofits, community organizations, businesses, families, and neighbors together around wellness, connection, and meaningful community impact.
Moving the event gives us the opportunity to spend the next year building stronger partnerships, recruiting teams, expanding community participation, and creating the kind of experience we believe Baltimore deserves.
With our new September date, Swing for Change will also recognize Suicide Prevention Month, with a portion of event proceeds supporting mental health and suicide prevention programming through the Julie Community Center.

Swing for Change is Baltimore's community softball tournament and Community Impact Village, a day where nonprofits, businesses, churches, and neighbors come together for wellness, collaboration, and change. Hosted by Julie Community Center in partnership with GPS University, the event turns a ballpark into a hub of connection and civic pride.
In recognition of Suicide Prevention Month, Swing for Change will benefit community wellness and mental health initiatives. A portion of proceeds will support mental health and suicide prevention programming through the Julie Community Center. Stronger together. Healthier together. Changing together.

Who can play?+
Anyone 16+ (16/17 with guardian consent). Teams can be corporate, nonprofit, or neighborhood-organized. Mixed-gender rosters encouraged.
Do I need to bring equipment?+
Bats, balls, and bases are provided. Bring your own glove and cleats if you have them.
Is the event family-friendly?+
Absolutely. The Community Impact Village includes a kids zone, food trucks, and free health screenings.
How are proceeds used?+
Net proceeds fund a $500+ Community Impact Grant awarded to participating nonprofits and neighborhood programs. A portion will also support mental health and suicide prevention programming through the Julie Community Center.
What if it rains?+
The rain date is Saturday, September 25, 2027.
